Running Configuration Files and Start-up configuration files and how to save them are discussed in this video.
RAM/DRAM: It stores the current/ active/ running configuration of the router
ROM: It stores the bootstrap program, loaded when switch turns on, which later searches for IOS
Flash: It stores IOS and any other files stored by the user if needed
NVRAM: It stores the initial startup-configuration files when switch/router is turned ON
